We allow our moms to dam-raise the kids. We handle them extensively every day and space our breeding out so that we can enjoy and raise each set of kids well. They are very friendly! Since most of our goats are not show goats, healthy pets are our goal, while seeking breeding traits that will make them correct and good milkers for hobby usage with great personalities.

  Robin arrived first but not without a challenge. She was holding up the other by laying across the birth canal! She finally ended up being delivered breech.

Next, Marshall arrived smoothly.

I thought Cesna was done and passing the afterbirth. The babies were up and nursing well, so we all settled in for bed. There was another surprise baby found in the morning! Little Lily must have been tucked in and came later in the night!

a blue-eyed, tri-colored buck named Spencer.
He weighed in at just 1 lb 14 oz at 18 hours old! To give you some perspective, in the picture, I set my Sunday afternoon beverage next to him.
